Cornell University, The College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Computer Science is currently seeking the services of a Graduate or Undergraduate Student to work as an assistant remotely with our research team to support ongoing data collection and analysis.
My research interest is using natural language processing, information retrieval, user modeling, and artificial intelligence to create intelligent natural language dialog systems and extract information from biomedical texts
My work aims to address the difficulty people have in obtaining useful health information from text documents.  The Department hopes to improve overall health by creating and implementing more accurate and easy-to-use forms. In turn, this will help scientists and clinicians improve the quality and cost of healthcare by quickly getting scientific findings into clinical practice.
 As the chair of the computer science faculty. I and my colleagues are engaged in leading-edge research in areas such as:
· Artificial intelligence
· Computational robotics
· Cryptography
· Extensible languages
· Intelligent dialog systems
· Object-oriented programming
This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule, and the successful candidates will work approximately 6-9 hours per week. The position offers valuable research experience, and the opportunity to work with a dynamic and collaborative research team on campus. Students from any department of the institution are eligible to apply.
